6 Outfits Ideas To Take You Into Fall
Ready, set, layer! Fall is finally here, and to say we’re excited is an understatement. Cozy sweaters, plaids, and luxurious knits are our M.O. – and we’ve brought in lots of gorgeous options this season.
Fall fashion is always a fun challenge of figuring out how to layer without looking or feeling super bulky and uncomfortable. And, especially in Canada, sometimes you have days where the temperature fluctuates by 10º between your morning coffee and walking to your car after work so your outfit needs to keep up. To help ease the shift to fall weather, we’ve pulled together 6 outfit ideas we think will inspire you to be comfy, cozy, and cute this season.

OUTFIT ONE: A BUTTON-UP, SWEATER, AND RIPPED JEANS
Preppy, with an edge. We’ve opted to pair our sweater and button-up combo with light wash, ripped jeans to keep the look from feeling too stuffy and to add interest. Maybe as a bit of a nod to Cher, we’ve played with proportions a bit to feature a long button-up that pokes out from below the cropped sweater.
OUTFIT TWO: HIGH-WAISTED JEANS, A BOLD TANK, AND A SHACKET
Long live the shacket! This breakout piece for late summer has absolutely captured our hearts, and we intend to keep shackets in our regular outfit rotation until breaking out the winter parka is not an option. We’ve kept it casual for this look, but it could easily be dressed up by subbing in a darker denim and adding in a statement necklace.
OUTFIT THREE: A TURTLENECK AND A MINISKIRT
This outfit will take you from the office to drinks after, and beyond. With a little bit of a French feel, and maybe a touch of Rachel Green, this combo is a home run every time. Here, we’ve picked a more fitted turtleneck to tuck into the skirt, but the sky is really the limit here – oversized and chunky knits or a bodysuit with a high neckline will also do the trick.
OUTFIT FOUR: JOGGERS AND A BOLD SWEATER
A new statement sweater is perfect for dressing up wardrobe basics – like black joggers or trousers – that are already stashed away in your closet. Hot pink and other neon pieces might just be our favourite, but peplum cuts will also do the trick.
OUTFIT FIVE: A MIDI DRESS AND VEST
Chic, but still super cozy. We’ve slowly moved away from our sleeveless dresses in favour of knit dresses with long sleeves that give us a little bit more warmth when the sun sets. Pair with ankle boots and a shearling vest if the air is especially chilly.
OUTFIT SIX: A FLORAL DRESS AND LEATHER JACKET
If you’re not quite ready to give up your floral summer dresses, this is the outfit for you. Rework your warm weather favourites by opting for boots instead of sandals, and by styling with your favourite leather jacket over top to keep you looking cool but staying warm.
